I'd never actually encountered solfege in the wild. I thought it was just an anachronism from The Sound of Music!

Song seems fine. Is falsetto and hitting pitches that your tiny, prepubescent students are comfortable with a challenge for you at all?

Song seems fine to me for it's intended purpose. But if i were to bother going back to do anything i'd sparkle up the guitar and bring it a little wee bit more forward. Or maybe dial back the tamborine just a hair.

But really, it's fine as is for where it is going.

[mention]vomitHatSteve[/mention] yeah there is a pedagogy based mainly off of solfege. Sometimes the falsetto comes and goes, but really after teaching this age group for going on 20 years I have really developed that part of my voice. I always had a pretty high range but I really learned to mix the falsetto in to reach those higher pitches. I do not sing them with tremendous power, but that is okay because I really try to keep the kids from belting.

Yeah the pitches are pretty high, but basically mid-range for 5-10 year olds. I am just lucky have the falsetto and I practice with them every day.
