Its pretty tidy in here, makes it a nice place to sit/play/work. I have a bit more touching up to do on the corners of the guitar shelf, but I need to get staples.
Turns out gluing velvet to wood is a fucking grim job:

I learned how to do corners by doing tolex on amps. If you can tolex an amp corner, you can dodge a wrench, or something like that.

Velvet will be easy with a staple gun for the corners. Doesn't matter if it bunches up a bit on the inside. I was really getting sick of having guitars either hanging all around me or leaning against my piano.

Hell yea buddy! looks nice and tidy! Good job on the guitar case too. Might have to pinch that idea someday. I quite like that little treatment you did actually. I'll bet it made a heck of a difference.

So this will double as your home work office as well?

Does that wood slat material bend at all since it's backed by felt? Like, would I be able to use that on something other than a flat surface? I ask because I've got designs in my head for some curved corner traps/diffusers to use on the rear corners of my studio. Buying them would be expensive, but making a frame, adding some insulation, and using that wood slat material as a face for it would probably be cheaper, and a fun project.

I'm thinking something like this, except made for a corner:

Yeah, should be no problem at all. They're not crazy flexible, you couldn't wrap them around a wine bottle, but they could do gentle curves.

I had to try to reglue the GF's Peugeot headline (the fabric on the ceiling inside the car) back into place with special automotive spray glue. Absolute fucking nightmare.

Looks good JD. Have you got room for another shelf back behind the first one if you buy more guitars?

And what's in the little cupboard to the right of it? Is that where the Gimp lives? :eep:
yes, where do you keep yours?

Just a thought... wine bottles are fairly universal. How big is a wine bottle in the USA? I haven't been over in more than 10 (probably 15) years.

It's different in Europe, wine is like a human right.

Fuck me, Greg. Live a little. I've got a cupboard full of the stuff, probably enough to get @Armistice through until lunchtime.

Live a little? I play in three very active live bands and go to shows and music festivals and the wife and I travel constantly. :lollers2:

Wine tastes bad and I don't do boring adult dinner parties where we talk about books, so no wine for me. :illdrinktothat:

Why would Greg need wine when Lonestar beer flows more freely than clean drinking water in Texas?

That said, book clubs rule, and I will hear no slander against reading!

Wine tastes great! I don't have anywhere near the amount of free time you have.
