Recording Rebels Spotify Playlist

Post by WhiskeyJack »

Just a gentle reminder that we have a Spotify playlist compiled of all of our friends on here so you can support them and stuff. I try to keep it mostly updated but admittedly likely have missed a few things here and there.

The latest addition was @CrowsofFritz newest release. He's being too humble and not announcing so i'll just do it for him because i am 100% that asshole.

Sometimes i like to just throw this on as a penny generating bot for those included. Be cool if everyone did the same sometime.

K bye. :happytrees:

BTW, someone in Canada played my entire album about 70 times in February or earlier.... you'll know him/her of course because it's a small country and there aren't many people - you may even be related - so when you bump into them, inevitably, do say thanks for me. :lollers:

And ask them to go again...

My guy, you are 67% of the playlist on some capacity. You can't carry us all by yourself.

Whaaat! It's barely half! And that's including the deadlinks from the awkward label consolidation

Where are RayC's albums? Is pygmy beat really not on streaming?

I don't think so. I've not run across him on Spotify at all. Always on YouTube that one is.

@rayc any plans to have your stuff on Spotify?!

I don't think ray's actually released anything on digital platforms for a long time, if he has at all. Been a long time between CDs...

No, I'm not anywhere but Soundcloud & YouTube.
I don't use streaming services myself...I've not been a radio listener since the nearly 80s when the government "youth" station went national and we don't have stuff playing as background noise generally.
I've not put together an album since 2010. I've lots of tracks but can't get my head around an "album" because I can't tell what's good enough anymore.
Cheers

Ffs Steve haha. I'll add it in.

What is your role here on this one. nevermind.
I just listened hahaha. You really were self indulgent with 48 hour energy buddy. Rock operas are so lame and boring dude. No one has time for that.

Lol @ raptor vomit. 👌👌

Hey ya'll. I finally started releasing music. Spotify, Apple, Amazon, all the places. My distributor says they release to over 450 outlets, so I guess now I'm in corners of the world I don't even know exist. Currently my Spotify account is the only one I have control over. Apple and YouTube make you wait until you've released a certain number of songs, for some strange reason. It's all under my name, Paul Hallman. I've released four songs so far. Two more come out this Friday, and the Friday after that will be the seventh and final one from this group of songs. I decided against an album because the songs are too different. I'm settling into a style of my own, so my next work in the studio will likely produce a coherent album. Oh, and one of the releases that is currently out is "Something In The Way" from our Nirvana challenge. It fits perfectly into the "Southern Indie" genre that I'm kind of crafting for myself.

Haven't been here much in a while, just been concentrating on perfecting my masters (all are tracks that ya'll have already critiqued, except for the re-recording of my "Dead Flowers" Stones cover) and working through an online course on mixing and mastering. I'm looking forward to getting back in the studio (I have a ton of stuff in the pipeline) and back to RR on a regular basis.

This is the release for this Friday, August 9: https://too.fm/nowm9kb It's a song of mine, with Gouge Away (Pixies cover) as the B-side. Yes, I'm the old fuck doing B-sides on Spotify. This is probably my weirdest release, as the two songs could not be more different from each other.
