I’m back again! Here’s a song!

Post by CrowsofFritz »

I’m back.......AGAIN. From the looney bin.......AGAIN.

Anyway, it turns out the diagnosis was wrong and I actually have schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Fuck me, right?

The meds are terrific now that they’re actually what I need, though they have some side effects. I sweat so freaking much at night and I’m not even hot. Like I just ran a marathon drenched and now all my covers are soaked kinda sweat. I also shake so much that it could be mistaken for mild Parkinson’s. Oh well. A small price to pay, I suppose.

Here’s a song I’ve been working on. I’ve sold all my equipment and instruments except my classical guitar and my Fender. I’ve started to create this Renaissance sounding piece. As you can hear, I’m sloppy on my own song, but I’m just trying to get the idea out. Does it sound like it could be mistaken for an old piece or is it just a wannabe?

Thanks.

Also, I recording this on my iPad. Sorry, it’s all I have now. I don’t even have good earphones to mix with. I assumed it was boomy given the bad mic, so I turned down the bass all the way. Hope it doesn’t sound too bad! :D

I like it!! Pretty free with the meter but that's cool. Keep after it and you'll have something here. Not a wannabe, just needs a little more work to develop.

You fooled me. I don;t have an ear really for placing a piece of music within a historical space. But i can here that bit of music mixed in with some chickens clucking about and a blacksmiths hammer on an anvil as some atmosphere of in the distance. Good stuff. Keep at it.

Sorry to hear about all that bipolar business.

It's definitely worth developing.
Good start.
Schiz & BP? Is it BP1 or 2? That's a pretty fearsome combination but meds can do it for you with a little therapy and TIME.
Music is great for those things too.
Sad you sold the gear - essential sale or SBP moment?
Cheers

Thanks! I’ll get a good tune going eventually. My favorite part right now is that main riff in the middle. That’s sticking. The other two parts (beginning and the riff I messed up on) I think I’ll have to change a bit.

Thanks, rayc!

It’s BP2. Only had one bad manic episode that scared my friends. My hypomania isn’t really that bad. It makes me really happy and creative. I made some paintings and sketches and even started this song on it. It’s really the crushing lows that suck. I only have the voices/sounds and delusions come with the lows.

BUT, the med I’m taking (seroquel) has been pretty awesome. It can be used for both schiz and BP so it’s like killing two birds with one stone. My psychiatrist is awesome.

Also, how can I multiquote on here on mobile? I feel like I’m missing the button. Lol

Now we just need to get you diagnosed with psycho/socio pathy, something on the autism spectrum, and AD[H]D for the full-house of terrifying brain to live in!
Sorry to hear about it, but I'm glad you found meds that work for you!

The composition sounds pretty good. Tone is surprisingly clear for what it is. It'd be nice to get that noise floor reduced tho.

Thanks VHS! I do have a little gizmo I can use to plug a mic into my iPad, and I have ONE mic I’ve kept. I’ll use that next time I head back up to my apartment.

I’m still changing some things around :)

You can slip right into Blackmore's Night once Ritchie shuffles off... definitely worth developing Crows...

Thanks for listening! And thanks for introducing me to a new band.

I’ll be getting my computer in a couple days, so I can finally experience the full breadth of everything again lol. Still no ETA on mobile playing, yeah? :D
