Have any of you all utilized time stretch?

Vocals too high in the mix? Too low? Not even sure? Snare sounds wonky? And how do I make everything louder than everything else? Step in, step in, for your mix Viagra from people who know the secrets.

Have any of you all utilized time stretch?

Maybe something is too fast for you so you play it slow and speed it up? Realize the song is not working and trying to find a way to rejuvenate it?

Personally, I’ve only used time stretch extensively when working in radio.

Generally only in short bursts. I'll tweak a lot with time stretch, but not for long periods since that adds too many artifacts.

No - can't imagine it would work particularly well for long stretches, as VHS says. Time to retrack, perhaps?

I find making something go faster works better than slowing it down as far as the artifacts are concerned.

Never considered it.. And can think of an application for it in my music.

Makes sense. Speeding up removes data, slowing it down has to create new data to fill in the gaps.
