My New Recording Space
After years of acquiring pieces here and there, making franken-computers from spare parts, using a "crash cart" for my desk...I think I have finally got good workspace for making music, built a PC for this purpose alone(just finished that off with a new monitor), and bought a new(albeit simple) desk that all my stuff can fit on.

Heck yeah, I love it. Having a proper desk is so worth it. Enjoy endlessly fussing over where everything goes. It's like a hobby in and of itself

Re: My New Recording Space
Nice, all the practical things that make recording more convenient really help.

Good work. I bought a decent chair a year ago AUS$300 - OUCH.
Cheers

Yep!
I shopped for ages for the right chair because I quickly realized that WFH in a folding chair was no good!

I just bought an $80 Walmart chair. Comfy enough for me. Does the job I need.
“Naaaaaaaaaah man. I ain’t touching that mic. That thing’s expensive!”

Yeah, I've done that too but, over time, posture, padding and position will slowly have an impact on your back & legs in the same way unsupported wrist and mouse movements will on your arms. If I had time again I'd bypass the series of Walmart quality chairs I bought and buy a decent one to begin with.CrowsofFritz wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 6:52 pm I just bought an $80 Walmart chair.
