Interesting. We have McMansions here (Mc as in McDonalds), but they're just pre-fab small mansions on huge lots in the suburbs rather than specifically the zero-lot line monstrosities they build in the cities

Ours are homes that fill the small block of land - to the extent that restrictions on the distance between roof/eves edges was reduced to accommodate them Huge looking houses with a scrap of back yard and a nominal front yard though likely with a tiny "al fresco" BBQ zone and the very great likelihood of some sort of thrusting faux arch/portico entrance. The oddities of nomenclature.
