I Hope We Get Snow For Christmas

I wrote and recorded this back in 2018 and I don't think I've ever shared it anywhere, as yet, only Soundcloud. Anywhoo, here's my first, and possibly last, attempt at a Christmas song with my typical witty twist upon the theme. As this is the first day that we all start to get a piece of chocolate everyday for 24 days, I thought I'd share it and wish you all good tidings for the month ahead.

A Violent Femmes misanthropic Xmas vibe...nicely done.
This an adventageous song, clearly.
It'll be the King's Speech - how weird will that be? I've not bothered with Betty's bit for fifty years and don't think my curiosity will draw me to the TV this year either.
I was waiting/looking for the cocaine reference - oh well.

Cheers Ray. I have thought about changing the "Queen's Speech" line for an updated "King's" version, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll keep the Coke idea in my for a revamp. :lollers2: I honestly never thought of that but I like it!

If I'm looking for mix nits, maybe the snare could be down a notch?

I like the song a lot. Real good lyrics.

To me the vocal has a little midrange bite to it. You might try to EQ notch it out in the mid-2Ks.

Other stuff to me sounds great.

Dude this is cool as hell. a pretty tidy mix! I love the Devil Makes Three kind of vibe this has. Big fan of that.

I don't think i can offer anything on the mix at all that hasn't been said. Very tidy well polished effort!
