Okay, I really like this idea.

I did this to test out my new mic (RE20), which, by the way, does NOT buzz, so it's not a dynamic vs. a condenser problem. It's just an SM57 problem. Anyway, I digress. Created this in 15 minutes per usual with my songs, and it turned out good. I particularly like the harmonies. What do you all think?

I like this a lot and yes, the harmonies are quite nice ..... timing the phrasing tightly, and good pitch control ..... I really like the choice of lines and especially like those close intervals and passing tones you use during that first 12 seconds .... nice

Added some length and a bass and piano. I tried to go McCartney-esque with the bass.

The bass sounds Peeyallish, but it also seems a bit wrong.

I’m going to redo it. I think doing the same two notes is a little fatiguing.

Redid the bass, added some strings and electric guitar to liven up the song a bit. I think I'll add claps at the third verse.

Upon hearing it some more, I think the strings work and the electric guitar works, but when the electric guitar comes in so quickly after the strings, they kinda clash :cry:

Nice song. I liked the lyrics. Harmonies sounded nice.

Not much I'd change. Things sound good. OK maybe turn the bass down a db or two.

Thanks Triple! I changed the bass line again for the chorus. Now I think I'm good with this. I think I turned it down but now I can't remember. :lollers2:

Thanks, strat! I’m finally happy with the bass now. Just gotta wait on my friend to put some piano on it and I’ll call it finished.

Okay, so I paid a guy on Fiverr to add piano to my song. Not bad, but it doesn't sound Beatles like. It sounds like a classical player trying to play the Beatles. Like, he's doing a lot of accents and has a light touch whereas the Beatles liked to really hammer down on the piano. That said, it's good enough to give you an idea of what the final song will be. My friend said he'll do piano and I'm sure he'll do a fitting job.

I think this sounds great! Best Crows mix that I've heard (and you're pretty prolific!).

No comments on this really, bass works, harmonies are great and the little descending electric guitar line that comes in on the left really fits the song.

Thanks, Alison! Glad the Beatles influence comes across. Really had to think about that bass line. If I were to compare it to any Beatle, i think it sounds Paulish the most. Definitely doesn’t sound John, George or Ringoish.
