I have worked on the amp some, just in tiny little bits that haven't really been update worthy. But here's some pics.

Heater wiring.

The panel mounted to the chassis and parts mounted.

Wiring in jacks and shielded wires that will go to first tube socket. I hate shielded wire.

Very cool dude.

I am about to resume parts shopping here next week. My mortgage got renewed YESTERDAY (deadline tomorrow   ) in the nick of time and i am expecting a call back today from my energy provider to redo our contract with them, so my next little bit of financial forecasting should be iron clad come Monday.

everything has sky rocketed sadly but what can you do about it. time to get serious with some side hustles this winter. that has to happen.

Now the issues i was having when shopping for parts a few weeks ago was the shipping. There are threre to four main places in Canada that guys are buying amp building parts from and sadly not one of them has everything i need to divide my purchases accordingly. that will take some streamlining and playing around carts and minimum purchases. I'll get there.

@Greg_L Yours is looking good so far. Your heater wiring is hella tidy. how come you said upthread somehwere this might be a fuck around for me? Is it finicky? Or what would be the stumbling block for that?

Getting the heater wiring tidy and efficient is tedious even for experienced guys. It's easy to be wasteful and have to redo things. The twisted heater wires look like one continuous string but it's really multiple sections woven together to look and act like one.

Haha I need to re-sand it now. I used WAY too many coats of clear and it has shrunk back some now. :lollers2:

Hi. Just a quick update on my end.

Sourcing parts sucks.

I am able ot get the chassis and all the transformers from one supplier with free shipping. Coming down to all the little piddly stuff is getting tedious. Mostly from newbie, i don't know wtf iam doing-ness. But yea. I am sure the juice will be worth the squeeze but a i am slowly seeing the merits of a kit. LOL.

You got this. Sourcing parts does suck, but it's doable.
