Vocals too high in the mix? Too low? Not even sure? Snare sounds wonky? And how do I make everything louder than everything else? Step in, step in, for your mix Viagra from people who know the secrets.
Rami you do excellent work with your gear and don't need to change a thing.
Only question I have is, a receiver like you're using has treble and bass adjustments typically, thus you get the good sound out in your gym area. Sometimes they have a "loudness" switch. How do you set your receiver controls?
When you are mixing, do you just set the eq flat on your receiver?

Thanx E.M. Yeah, I keep the treble and bass flat, but I do turn on the "Loudness". With the LOUDNESS off, I'd be cranking up the bass too much. I think, on my system, the LOUDNESS actually gives you a flat sound, and not have it on actually cuts the bass. It must be that because it sounds horrible without the LOUDNESS engaged.
I guess I just always thought the loudness control kind of made a smiley face eq with hight and lows boosted, thus not really a flat eq curve. Anyway, keep up the good work

Well, you're probably right that it's not a flat EQ either way. I'm sure it's somehow hyping the sound somewhere.
Also, I always thought the same thing as you about the Loudness control. I still do, except for my system. For a while I tried turning it off to see if it's just me needing to get used to a "flat" sound. But after a few days I realized it really does cut the low end without it on my system. Mine might be an exception, but I have to have it on.
