Left channel is samples of me beatboxing. Right channel is a video game. Center is mostly sampled from a really grungy recording of a drum solo from my glam band. (Except the "Four"s which are unreal tournament)

I've been building up a sample library for about 11 years no. That's also when I started work on the randomized drum engine. A year or so ago, I spent about a day converting most of the isolated drum samples into "kits" in Reasamplomatic5000 that are compatible with EZD mapping, so I can drop the same midi files into them.

So this song in and of itself probably took less than 4 hours (including writing), but the toolset I use for it has been over a decade in the making.
That's actually pretty amazing, Steve.
Have you done a blog post or something explaing how this shit works?

Probably? Bits and pieces of it at least.

Ostensibly, I'm a guest at a geek convention in July, and one of the panels I'm running will be about live-coding and some of the tools I use.
