Old band redone (not entirely by me)

Post by WhiskeyJack »

I know i have mentioned it a bunch of times that me and a buddy did some long distance over the Internets collaboration to rerecord our old stuff and some at the time of relevancy "newer" songs. Seems he's posted them up on his soundcloud. I didn't think they were ready to be published but i guess they were.

Really disappointed in some of my bass performances. There are some really obvious warts in a couple songs that i could have sworn i ironed out before sending his way but i guess not. I don't know why i would have shipped them out in that state?

Regardless, if your bored and want to hear 9 punk ska songs of a defunct band here they are.

Love that gnarly bass tone!

Listened to the first three, will have to finish later, but I'm liking it.

Thank you. It's pretty grimy. I loved it man. I think the signal chain here was my P-BASS> DI > Into an ampeg amp sim and then some random Ampeg Cabinet IR i found on the inernets to finish it off. The dirty bits is Boss Blues Driver seasoned to taste.

I've no idea wtf the guys were using for their guitars. I know phil had a mesa triple rec something other monster amp at the time and i want to say that is what that is but i can't confirm.

Some interesting stuff here. Can't listen to them all right now. Listened to the first and the last. Cool tunes.

Do you play just the bass?

Good stuff here Mr. Whiskey! Repeating rayc I'll say nice bass tone, and add...and performance!

My son will love this stuff. He's a real fan of this genre! I dug it too.

I've listened to a few of these now WJ. They're good songs and I really like the bass sound.
I'm pretty sure I've paid for worse recorded music.

20 year band reunion. Minus the singer.

Sadly the bike ride we had done that day kicked our asses so bad we didn't even make it to our guitars that night and the dude in the middle had to make a 1hour 15 min drive back to Calgary that night. Zonked.

We also tried to situate ourselves so we were all the same height. :lollers2: :lollers2: :lollers2:

Wow, 90's revisited? Reminds me of the music my kids listened to when they were in mid-school/High School. The bass in "Just Another Junkie" is awesome, if not exhausting! I started from the bottom up. . .will listen to the others after I catch my breath :lollers2: Gotta try and remember the names of some of the bands this reminds me of, right now they escape me. Fun to listen to!
If I knew what I was doing, I'd be dangerous!
