Thanks @vomitHatSteve and ray. I haven’t done any dessing at all. I wonder if my mic diaphragm had something happen to it when it was 90 degrees in my house for three days.

Re: Till The End of Time
I can't rememebr what the other strumming pattern sounded like but this sounds clean. the whole thing does sound super clean. I do hear a bit of buzzing bit but it adds character really and it's not persistent and droning like i have heard in other people performances. Not a big deal.
The oohs are bit unbalanced with the rest of the mix and could down just a little.
There is some nuance to the very top of your main vocals that sounds almost artificial or robotic or something. It by no means sounds fake, it's just a, I have no idea what i'd i call it? An overtone? Regardless it is just a thing i am now hearing. Perhaps you've compressed the shit out of your vocals and i can hear the air drifting over your vocal folds or whatever. I hope someone else hears it and has a word for it otherwise i just sound insane.
Recording wise the sounds are super clean man. you must be really stoked on all your new toys. I like the separately captured performance here. It feels more together.

I like the intimate feel of just singer/acoustic guitar, focus on lyrics....the ooohs are really cool and unexpected 1st time around...nice surprise! Liked the little guitar solo at the end.

Thanks @WhiskeyJack and @stratmonkee
Interesting on the vocals. I didn’t really compress them that much. Just a little LA2A compression. The most compressed thing is the guitar. 12/1 ratio and it doesn’t sound overcompressed in the slightest, at least to me.
I’m definitely loving my new compressor haha.

12:1 is pretty high. How much gain reduction are you getting?CrowsofFritz wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 3:35 pm Thanks @WhiskeyJack and @stratmonkee

It wasn’t a great amount. I had the VU meter on the GR setting and it wasn’t moving like crazy.JD01 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 4:44 pm12:1 is pretty high. How much gain reduction are you getting?CrowsofFritz wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 3:35 pm Thanks @WhiskeyJack and @stratmonkee
