Strident? I like it, good adjective for it...its an oberheim they can be a bit fizzy.

Its been years since anyone commented on a track, its great hearing you guys opinions on it :coolstorybro:
I love Oberheim sounds. the Stranglers "Raven" album has stunning Oberheim work from Dave Greenfield, who died this day a year ago from the bastard Covid.
Ill give that a listen!....I have several friends who are big Stranglers fans, Ive only casually heard them as I was a young mod at the time (before they went shit). This is a modern Oberheim, a collab with Sequential....my most expensive synth but worth it as its on everything

Really like it KC - I've enjoyed the last couple of tracks actually - could easily do an album of this.

LIke a few others have said. The snare is a bit forceful and rock n roll for the track, particularly with all those fills.
I like VHS's idea of less transient, more tail in the snare sample and add a bit more variation to the velocity during those fills.

Sounds okay to me. I don't have a problem with any of it....except the guitars might as well not be in there at all. I didn't expect arena-rock guitars or anything, but you said you got new guitars so I expected some guitars. What I got was a faint little jiggle of some disco riff. Lol. At least bring that up some. :metal: :coolstorybro:

Just had a chance to listen to this. Really like it! Lot of very cool textures going on.

Couldn't hear any guitars though but the snare was center in my speakers. . .maybe my ears are old! I am no expert but I do agree with what JD said about the snare. . .like I'd really know what to do with it!

Nice tune, fun to listen to!
If I knew what I was doing, I'd be dangerous!

Thanks Alison, I think a bit of editing in the snares velocity will help...Making real drum beats with drum machines and samples always takes a bit of editing and Im lazy asf.

Funny about the guitars....my next tune will be synths around guitars. Bought a tascam multitrack to practice on :)
