No they dont, and I can still appreciate it, but as a 54 year old man I know too much about modern pop that should be the domain of young daughters.

I know very little about modern pop but when i do accidently hear it I always like it just fine.

I especially like K-pop when i run into it.

I don't understand why everything has to be a collab now. So and so featuring so and so.

Its like they burn up so quickly

theres an artist "Blackbear" and he was on everything...but its like a commune, the same folks are on everything. Im sure theres a tonne of great pop that gets nowhere because these fuckers have sewn it all up featuring on each others everything

I havent really listened too much other than the past year or two....but it seems healthier than it was say ten years ago...Theres a few tracks come up and I think thats its really cleverly written, or I see why it hooks folks. You can hear the underground trend like synthwave make it into The Wkend and populism, thene underground scene totally dies off. So pop is still ripping of the innovators, as much as you can innovate nowadays.

But face tattoos, jesus thats like the worst fckn trend ever...and I was a pierced and tattoo'd twenty something back in the 80s...but face tattoos!
