I like the music but "rapped" vocals don't work for me - that's not your prob - just mine.
Nice arrangement the sung 2nd voice - over on the left - is a little loud but otherwise it's a tidy mix.
Cheers

Thanks for the spins, guys. Ray, I really struggled with whether or not I was "pulling off" the rappy stuff, but I made my peace with it. I was going for a Deca/Soul Coughing vibe, and I think I got as close as I can. That stuff may not be in your wheelhouse either, and that's cool. It's all wonderfully subjective.

This one is really good, Dross.
Don't really have a comments on this one, mate.
The snare sound suits this style much better, your sung vocal sections are good.
I actually quite like your rapping style some of the delivery immediately reminded me of Skee-Lo.
The reverby guitars sound great.

I think the rap works.

The thing that's sticking out to me is that the bass seems to be clicking every once in a while. Some string rattling noise or something.

Good to know. I'll solo it and find the offender. Thanks!

jeeze man, talk about shifting gears haha. good job dude. i feel like it has a Flobots vibe to it but like, sad Flobots. Your vocal delivery works. at about 3:03 i can totally see why liv_rong is fanboying you pretty hard. Like you two apples fell out of the same tree i think. Fairly convinced of it actually when i heard that part.

Your mixes are super clean and tidy. Again i'm just on earbuds at work i'll have to spin them in a better environment. thanks for popping by dude. Hope you stick around an we hear some more.

Haha thanks so much! Yeah liv got me addicted to pedals, and the Avalanche Run was where it all started. The swell reverb setting is perfect for that post-metal tremolo picking stuff.

Sounds good dross. The rap works for me too. The only thing I hear and this is really nit picking, but the toms near the end do a bit of a run when you are really jamming and they just get lost to me. Good work, I like the bass sound on this one, it really pops.

Overall I thought this was very good.

I like the clean guitar.

The vocal has a hint of brittleness. Maybe just notch it out in the mid-2Ks?

Like your other tune, I thought the low end needs to be cleaned up. Mostly on the bass on this one. Too rumbly to me.

Honestly I can't conceive of making a better mix than I have with this song lol. That being said, I've seen your comments on other people's work and your ears seem similar to mine, which makes me want to follow your advice. Therefore I am going to fuck with it further. Thanks for the input!
