The Ballad of Constance and Johnny - Finally released my rock opera!

Post by vomitHatSteve »

I've been working on this thing for 20 years now!

Yesterday was the album release.

If folks are interested it's on all the major streaming platforms and our web store.

Thanks to everyone who provided mix feedback!

Downloaded !
People want something for nothing, they want it right now. Either they can't tell quality or don't care but feel it is important that everyone agrees with them.

Cool to see cassette & CD options.
What type of compact cassette?
What's the $$ for delivery of CD or cassette?
Cheers

I'm not sure the exact cassette type. It does have Dolby tho?

The $10 price point includes shipping.

Thanks!

Now that I've finally done my big, pretentious project, it's time to go back to goofy songs about D&D economics!

You got the files alright?

My email kicked the Paypal notification to spam, so I wanted to make sure everything went through.

It should have auto-forwarded you to the link, but that behavior is kinda buggy sometimes.
I'll PM it.

Steve,
the disc arrived Downunder. I haven't sent david his copy yet - life blocked logic today.
Mate, I REALLY like it. The mastering is great, the additional voices provide lots of variety and there're a couple of songs that almost verge on conventional for moments at a time which provides excellent contrast and flow management across the album.
The packaging is cool too - Prelinger is the store where you pay no more!
Only the 1 complete listen through but COOOOOL.
Cheers

Thanks, Ray!

Yeah, there's a lot of Prelinger going on here!

Mastering was Massive (John Scrip). He always does great work!

It's cool. There's some stuff on there I hadn't previously heard.

You could probably do with adding a bit more metadata to the files, track listing etc.

Hey VHS, I just got my copy via ray but haven't had a chance to spin it yet, but have a question - is it a short run duplication type CD or real glass master replication jobbie?

If the former, how/where did you get them done?

I'm trying to work out my next move on mine. Last thing I need is more boxes of unsold CDs just so I can make a "real" one, and CD is severely dying as a format anyway, so I'm thinking short run duplication instead this time, just to have some stuff I can give people.

It's a short run.

I do NTS promedia in Nashville. They have comparable prices to the online ones but I save on shipping since it's local. (obviously, that won't help you)
