I think it depends though on what you had for vocals? maybe you some vocally stuff in mind for right at the beggining.
Nah, no vocals in the intro - I'm gonna make it pretty much as you said though - just compress the whole intro and make it more immediate.

Jdude! this is the best sounding mix i heard from you yet matey :)

tooo early to mix critique, but imo just need to look into mix tricks to bring those tones in your face :) (a lil slight doubling, limiting and compression) .... ... yeah,on 5th listen the guitar tones are purdy good, maybe a tad of mid honk, smash em and see :D

Cheers guys - I did come up with a couple of lyrical ideas for this yesterday so I might have a crack at something this weekend - I do like this song so I would like to finish it.

I've re-tracked large parts of this, shortened the intro as rami suggested before and completely remixed it using all the techniques that I've learned about reverb recently.

Tell me what you think - hope to add female vocals to this in the week :)

This sounds a little meatier over all sir, i like what you've done with it. The drums definitely stand out a bit more. I notice them more. Things sound a bit more glued together than the other one. It is really coming together quite nicely.

Are you using much compression on your bass track. I am finding it comes in and out of the mix a bit. Maybe squashing it all down a bit more might fix that? Does anyone else hear that or is just my lame ears.

really cool song. I like those chatoic bits from 4:00 all the way to the outro bit. Really cool.

I mentioned the volume fluctuations several times, but now I can't find my comments. How many threads are there for this song? Am I in the wrong thread? Where am I? What's my name? What year is this?

No, it's all good. I thought THIS was the "Fascist Tambourine" thread. I'm all over the place. This is a different tune, right?

Cheers Shan. Will listen to that bass track carefully in the mix and see if I can spot it.

No, it's my fault. I was having a senior (old guy, not Mexican) moment.

This is the tune that you shortened the intro for. Sounds really good.

Yeah - I re-tracked the main rhythm guitars too. Quite happy with the tones.
