"Blaster"

Post by JohnnyAmato »

Recorded this literally like three years ago on my old Tascam 24-track, and it's been sitting ever since. Just transferred the tracks to ProTools, re-did the drums and mixed it. Ears are shot, need some input. Thanks!

The gong intro could be a little louder.
You obviously know your way around the fret board.
I prefer the passage with the onger notes.
The far spread rhythm guitars could be defizzed somewhat.
Cheers

A gong? Is that what that first sound is?

Yeah, it could probably come up.

I think I disagree with ray on the fizz on the rhythms. I think the fizz is actually coming from the cymbals. If you want less fizz in those sections, drop some crashes.
