That's pretty cool.
So did you start with a photo with green photos and chroma key the videos in? Or did you manually crop them in?
How did you keep the framing of yourself consistent with the slow animation?

I started by making the individual photos in Photoshop and assembled them on wooden floor background. I left the middle two photos with a transparent background.vomitHatSteve wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2025 11:22 am That's pretty cool.

Then I used the Video software (CapCut) with the background image first. I sync'd the video to the mp3 and then cropped, positioned and placed the videos in behind the background image. Then I added the lyrics where I wanted them. Then I exported that video to a new project and put the fx and animation on that video.
A lot of it was trial and error as I'm new to CapCut and I'm learning as I go. It took about 4hrs to make after a bit of practising on a rough draft that didn't looks so good. It was fun to do though. I like to be creative.

Nice work Clean!
Like most people here, I don't have the time/patience for video these days, but I admire those who do.

Well done.
Greenscreens are fun and you did your really well.
What the audio quality you use?
I start with a 24bit wav and take the best available at rendering - 320 MP3. Not as HQ as I'd like but the best in the software.

Cheers Ray.
I didn't use a green screen though. Don't own one yet but planning on getting one for the future as I'm really interested in having a play around with one and seeing what I can do. I just sat in front of one of my record walls for the video.
Audio - I just put in a 320 Mp3. Never really gave any thought to the audio or conversion. Probably should have, thinking about it but then I'm sure YouTube does it's own thing to destroy the sound anyway?
Re: Set In Stone (Video)
Yeah,
you don't need a green screen per se. Any blank, evenly lit surface, (SUPER important), will do, so long as the software can select it.
I bought a green screen kit for AUS$60 about five years ago...it has green, black, white & grey back clothes as well as poles, cross bar & bull dog clips. All collapses into a 1m bag about the size of a cricket bat.
Since I have a perm space & long time frame I set up the actual green one on a rod with curtain brackets - it sits over what was a wardrobe with ghastly mirror doors so now serves two purposes.
Yes, YouTube mangles audio a fair bit but not as badly as Soundcloud etc. which is why I started using it. It's ideal to use an audio file just a little above the Lufs preference of the streaming service. Quieter and the mangler does a worse job raising it & far less damage on a very slight reduction.
The mp3 streamer at TRR seems to do no harm.

This is awesome! I’ve always liked your stuff.
I guess it may be what Whiskey says as the reason why. I’d be proud if I recorded something like this.

“Naaaaaaaaaah man. I ain’t touching that mic. That thing’s expensive!”
