Ozone Mastering AB
Re: Ozone Mastering AB
To be fair, the AI version sounds OK, but it's not exactly subtle. There are things about it I'd like to change. It would be nice to run the AI and then tweak it afterwards.
I'll see if I can get it from Plugin Collective next week.

Well in a way you did at least me a favor. I now know to NEVER upgrade my current version.

Haha, buy me a pint when you next make it to the UK.
I think it was $35 so that's only about £30
Re: Ozone Mastering AB
Have you tried pressing all the other buttons to give you different AI treatments to see if they're any good?
And that's a huge black render. I've never come close to anything like that...
Didn't sound too bad though, on my laptop anyway. Loud!

Re: Ozone Mastering AB
Yeah, I've clicked on two or three others. I think I have a preference for Pop or Country so far. They tend to be a bit less full on.
I don't think it sounds bad... but it's hard to directly A/B it cos its so fucking loud.
Re: Ozone Mastering AB
I now have version 9 for free. I'll see how they compare. I think what I'd like to try is the one click of version 10 and then modify it with the functionality of version 9

Re: Ozone Mastering AB
So the question is: can it run in a standalone/command-line mode on Linux? If so, that's something I'd be interested in. Even crappy mastering that I can automate is better than what I'm currently doing.

Re: Ozone Mastering AB
Of course it can, and you should buy the full Ozone experience for several thousand dollars and report back on how it goes...vomitHatSteve wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:37 pm So the question is: can it run in a standalone/command-line mode on Linux? Raises an interesting point - if you've been around long enough and even tangentially exposed to computers for long enough, you know what a command line is - even if you couldn't actually use any commands. Also Linux, the OS run on penguins.JD01 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 6:06 pmEh... tango foxtrot tea kettle barbecue.vomitHatSteve wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:37 pm So the question is: can it run in a standalone/command-line mode on Linux? But anyone who's probably less than 50 and first came to computers via Windows 3.0 - 30 years old now - or later, has maybe not experienced such wonders, unless they're actually an IT person.
I'm doing a javascript course to keep the brain active. Plenty of command line action there...

Re: Ozone Mastering AB
There was an weird cutoff in my friend's group. We all had computers and technology (cause video games), but I was slightly older, so I was the only one who started out with DOS computers. My buddies really struggled with CLI basicsArmistice wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 7:14 pmRaises an interesting point - if you've been around long enough and even tangentially exposed to computers for long enough, you know what a command line is - even if you couldn't actually use any commands.
